Newtown Savings Bank spread holiday cheer this season by collecting toys for both TEAM Inc and Toys for Tots drives. The drives, which began in November and ended mid-December, were a huge success for the organizations.

The donations of new, unwrapped toys were accepted at all fifteen of the Bank’s branch locations. The generosity of both customers and the community ensured another successful year. The toys were distributed to local children, making the holiday season just a little brighter for families in need.

Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Area Coordinator Dave Silber said, “We estimate that more than 500 individual toys were collected by Newtown Savings Bank at their branches and corporate office this holiday season. The toy types ranged from infants to teenagers, which is always appreciated.”

He added, “On behalf of myself and fellow Toys for Tots Area Coordinator Frank Casey, we would like to thank Newtown Savings Bank for their continued support over the years and for being the single largest business in Newtown to sponsor the charity. Thank you again for the Newtown Savings Bank team.”
