During the month of January, C.H. Booth Library will be hosting six different SCORE webinars to help small business owners in the area.

The first webinar, to be hosted on Tuesday, January 7, 1-2 pm, is called “How To Start A Business Using A Free SCORE Mentor.” This webinar will explore how a SCORE mentorship works and what it includes, how to find the right mentor for a specific business, and how a SCORE member can assist in starting and growing a business.

The second webinar, called “Understanding the Five Most Common Legal Forms of Business,” is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 1-2 pm. This webinar describes the five most common forms of business organization: sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability company (LLC), corporation and S corporation. Expert presenters will explain the legal and tax implications of each business type.

The third webinar, “Google Analytics for Small Businesses — How to Improve Your Website Traffic,” will be held on Thursday, January 9, 1-2 pm. This webinar will go over the basics for Google Analytics and how to use the information to track a website’s performance and how to turn these insights into action. The presenters will also show business owners which information to pay the most attention to for maximum website efficiency.

On Thursday, January 16, 1-2 pm, the fourth webinar, “Email Opt-In Strategies Every Small Business Needs to Know,” will be held. This webinar will explain why it is imperative to build a strong opt-in email list so businesses can stay connected with their audiences. A SCORE presenter will demonstrate how to create irresistible lead magnets, craft engaging email content, and leverage both free and paid strategies to expand lists quickly.

The fifth webinar, “A Basic QuickBooks Guide for Small Business Owners,” hosted on Thursday, January 23, 1-2 pm, will show small business owners the basics of QuickBooks and how to use it to streamline accounting.

“2025 Hottest Business Ideas, Trends & Markets” is the sixth webinar C.H. Booth Library is hosting on Tuesday, January 28, 1-2 pm. This webinar will discuss the trends small business owners can expect to see in the new year, and how to transform products so they don’t get left behind in 2024.
