David Kokoszka (DJ), 54, died on December 27, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his father Stanley Kokoszka Sr and his mother Wanda Kokoszka.

He is survived by his brother Stan, sister-in-law Paola, nieces Natasha and Victoria, and nephew Stanley.

David grew up in Westport, and was a beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to all. He was a free spirit who loved going to concerts, and always brought laughter, joy, and fun to a room. He often spent Sundays watching football with his father and brother rooting for the New York Giants, and loved cheering on the Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers. He was a big fan of NASCAR and had a talent for automotive work and carpentry. He was an amazing cook who carried forward his mother’s and father’s beloved recipes with great skill.

David will always be remembered as a kind and caring man who left us far too soon, and he will be sorely missed.

Family and friends are welcome to attend calling hours on Thursday, January 4, between 4-7 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown.
