Newtown Choral Society, under the direction of Mary Andreotta, has announced openings in all voices for its spring concert, set for May 16 at Newtown Meeting House. Rehearsals begin January 22. A love of singing and a willingness to learn is all that is required.

The music for the concert will include an American Bandstand medley, a medley of the music by Chicago as well as music by Blood Sweat and Tears.

Now in its 34th year, Newtown Choral Society is open to everyone from all area towns. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings beginning at 7 at Newtown Middle School, 11 Queen Street. The choir supports itself through dues, program ads, and ticket sales.
