Boy Scouts from Troop 270 in Newtown will be available to pick up Christmas trees from the homes of residents in Newtown and Sandy Hook for three consecutive weekends starting on January 4.

The Scouts are requesting a $10 donation for the service, which will support the troop. Trees that are picked up with be used to support a local conservation project with the Candlewood Valley chapter of Trout Unlimited.
