John Skurat
John Skurat, 91, of Shelton, husband of the late Mary Kowtko Skurat, died December 25.
He was born in Shelton on June 10, 1912, son of the late Theodore and Katherine Skurat, and was a lifelong resident.
Mr Skurat was retired from the former B.F. Goodrich Co of Shelton where he was employed in the maintenance department. He was a parishioner of Sts Peter & Paul Church, Ansonia, and a member of the American Russian Citizens Club of Shelton.
He is survived by his daughter, Alice Hine of Newtown; and two grandsons; and was predeceased by his daughter, Dorothy Skurat.
Funeral services were held December 29 from the James T. Tooney & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Avenue, Shelton, and in Sts Peter & Paul Church, Ansonia.
Burial was in Sts Peter & Paul Cemetery, Derby.
