Teikyo Post Info Session

The Division of Accelerated Degree Programs at Teikyo Post University invites prospective students to an Information/Registration at Newtown Middle School on Queen Street off Church Hill Road in Newtown. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20, from 5 to 7:30 pm, and is informal, so people can feel free to stop by any time during the posted hours. It is recommended, but not required, to call 800/582-8250 to set up an appointment during the Information/Registration Session hours.

Teikyo Post’s Accelerated Program allows students to earn Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees in half the time. The academic year is divided into five eight-week terms and classes meet twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Bethel High School from 5:30 to 7:50 pm and/or 8 to 10:20 pm. Students can earn up to 30 credits in one year by taking two courses each term. There is a sixth term in July on the main campus in Waterbury and online, giving students the ability to earn up to 36 credits in one year.

Students in the MetroDanbury program can compete associate’s or bachelor’s degrees in business management entirely at the site, which is temporarily located at Newtown Middle School.

Evening classes are also held at a site in Trumbull and at the main campus in Waterbury. In addition, students may take classes on alternating Friday nights or Saturday mornings at the main campus.

For those who wish to take courses via the Internet, Teikyo Post university offers many online courses per term. To find out more about the online program, prospective students are encouraged to visit the Web site at www.teikyopost.edu.

For more information on the Accelerated Degree program at the MetroDanbury site, please contact Associate Dean Eileen Sheridan at either 800/582-8250 or 203/596-4678, or e-mail at esheridan@teikyopost.edu. The next term begins on March 13 and runs through May 3, 2001.
