    The Newtown Rooster Run 5K race will take place on Saturday, June 15, at 8 am. The race will start and finish at the Newtown Municipal Center and run in, around, and through the Fairfield Hills campus. All proceeds will benefit the Newtown Scholarship Association.

    The second annual Mad Dash to benefit the Newtown Youth Academy drew hundreds of participants to Fairfield Hills Saturday. An overnight storm gave way to brilliant blue skies and bobbing clouds and temperatures just cool enough to make the mud bog really challenging according to Race Director Cody Foss.
