  • A Musical Celebration For St Patrick's Day

    Dancers from The Gray School of Irish Dance visited Wesley Learning Center on March 9 to offer a pre-St Patrick’s Day dance performance. After a collection of short performances, the visiting instructors and dancers invited their audience to join them for a brief workshop.   • Wesley Learning Center Books The Bunny For Breakfast

    Wesley Learning Center’s Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Annual Silent Auction event has been scheduled for Saturday, March 21, from 9 until 11 am at Wesley Learning Center, located at Newtown United Methodist Church at 92 Church Hill Road.

    Tickets are available in advance for $25 for a family of five. Tickets will be $28 at the door.

    A 5-by-7-inch picture, taken by Sandra Lynn Photography, will be available during the event with the Easter Bunny for a $5 donation.

  • Wesley Learning Center Marks 20th Anniversary

    Wesley Learning Center is celebrating its 20th year of offering church-affiliated educational programs this year, and Director Rahnna Peck has been there from the start.

    Since opening in 1993, Ms Peck said she has seen the enrollment grow and decline in association with the town’s population.

    Now Wesley Learning Center offers National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited programs for children between the ages of 2 and 6. When it started it served a smaller age range of students.

  • Breakfast With The Easter Bunny Slated

    Wesley Learning Center Students are getting ready to have Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday March 16 from 9 am to 11 am in the Rauner Hall of the Newtown United Methodist Church. 

    The event will include face painting, a special visit from the Easter Bunny and a surprise for each child. Breakfast will include fried egg sandwiches, Dunkin Munchkins, mini bagels with cream cheese, coffee and juice.
