Sandra Kay (Grouse) Marquis, 75, of Newtown, died April 21 at Bethel Health Care. She was the widow of Edgar Eugene Marquis. She was born in Danbury, July 12, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Ethel (Beale) and Andrew Jackson Grouse.

She was a registered nurse most of her life, and worked at Danbury Hospital until her retirement.

Her sons Jeffrey and Timothy Marquis, both of Newtown; daughter Bonnie Marquis-Hoey of Huntington, W.Va.; and four grandchildren survive Mrs Marquis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Company, 55 Dodgingtown Road, Newtown CT 06470, or to the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 344, Newtown CT 06470.
