A New Twist

On A Classic

Fairy Tale

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will present a new twist on a classic fairy tale with Hansel & Gretel, a Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production set for Friday, July 5, and Friday, July 26. Both performances will start at 7:30 pm.

The adaptation by MCT founder James Caron features the tenacious brother-sister duo Hansel and Gretel, as well as the conniving old witch and her cake-and-candy house. Additional characters include the cuddly Wallybirds, the creepy, crawly Nasties, the witch’s eight craft cooks, and 13 modern-day campers lost in the woods.

Most of the characters are being played by area young people in grades 1-12 who are enrolled in the Quick Center’s Children’s Summer Theatre Camp.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children. Discounted group rates are available. The theater is on the campus of Fairfield University. For tickets, call 203-254-4010 or toll-free 877-ARTS-396 or visit the website www.QuickCenter.com.
