Beverlee A. "Bev" Costanzo, 70, died peacefully  August 31. Born in Bridgeport, she lived in Newtown, Old Lyme, and Niantic, before moving to Bradenton, Fla., in 2005.

Her sister, Gayle Van Pelt; brothers, James and wife, Debbie, and William and wife, Michele, Costanzo; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and good friends survive her. Her father, Louis; mother, Ann; and older brother, L. Johnny, predeceased her.

Ms Costanzo grew up in Bridgeport, graduated from Warren Harding High School, and attended Connecticut College in New London. She then worked for SNET for 30 years, first as an operator and then as an engineering assistant.

Like many others preferring the warm weather, she retired to Florida. However, retirement did not last long, as she spent many years as the primary caregiver for both of her parents prior to their passing in recent years.

Ms Costanzo is best known for her legacy of kindness, love, wisdom, and friendship. She was a friend to all and loved by so many people across the country.

A celebration of her wonderful life will be held at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, on Friday, September 16, from 5 to 8 pm.

Friends are invited to meet directly in Section 12 at St Michael Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford, on Saturday, September 17, at 11 am, for graveside committal services.
