To the Editor:

I am writing to express my support for Neil Chaudhary as Police Commissioner in Newtown. We should consider ourselves lucky to have one of the Nation’s leading traffic safety scientists living right here in our community.

Neil cares about Newtown and the safety of our community. He has worked with law enforcement agencies at the local, state, and national levels for over 25 years.

In 2019, Neil worked in collaboration with the Newtown Police Department to complete a distracted driving study aimed at the protection of our children at bus stops. Neil is regarded as an expert in the transportation and safety field and has experience cooperating with local government agencies such as the DOT and DMV.

Neil’s experience and reputation speak volumes. Neil truly cares about the Newtown community.

As a 22-year law enforcement officer in Stamford, and a 17-year Newtown resident, I am proud to support Neil Chaudhary for re-election to the Police Commission.
