It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Camille (Galasso) Coonan on August 1, 2024. She peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Danbury Hospital.

Born in Stamford on September 8, 1938, Camille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and often put others before herself. While physically small, her presence was undeniable and touched the lives of everyone she met.

Camille was a lifelong animal lover with a passion for travel, reading, the arts, and spending time with her loved ones. She had a warm smile and a contagious laugh that could light up any room. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children David (Mary) Coonan, Cynthia Gaffney, her grandchildren, Bobby and Katy Gaffney, sons-in-law Francis Haybeck, Bob Gaffney, her sister Donna (Galasso) Rissone, and many cousins. She is now reunited with her loving husband of 66 years, John (Jack) Coonan, her parents and other loved ones who have passed before her.

Camille will forever hold a special place in our hearts and her memory will live on through all she shared with us during her long and well-lived life. May she rest in peace.
