Election Security Or Not

To the Editor:

In a recent Rasmussen poll, 62% of likely voters were concerned about the integrity of our upcoming Presidential election. Incredibly, 1% of those likely voters said they were not citizens and .85% weren’t sure of their citizen status. This would mean the potential of three to four hundred thousand fraudulent votes in November, since the number of illegal aliens in the United States has roughly doubled in the four years of the lax border policies of the BidenHarris administration.

Though it is true that it is already illegal for noncitizens to vote in our elections, every form issued in almost every department of BidenHarris has a box for applicants to register to vote without subsequent checking of citizenship status. In fact, it is presently illegal to check citizenship status for federal elections.

The Save Act was introduced and passed in the House in order to address this security lapse in our federal election laws. It passed, but, unfortunately, only five Democrats voted with the majority. Representative Hayes was one of the No votes. Now ask yourself why? Why would any Democrat oppose closing the noncitizen loophole to ensure elections are secure?

Will the Save Act pass the Senate? I would venture to say No because Democrat senators like Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal are just fine with noncitizens voting, especially in the battleground states where the margin of victory may only be 10-20,000 votes. (Why do you think they let the border situation explode for 3½ years until election season?) The fact is that at the least noncitizen voting cheapens every citizen’s vote and at the worst it cancels it if the election result is reversed.

ANY election, schoolboard, selectman, National etc. that CANNOT be audited back to the time the lights are turned on/off in the polling place is, by definition, illegitimate. Laws are being passed in many States to prevent any auditing and, speed up the certification process, while we wait days/weeks for results.

The good news is that Virginia, like most countries in the world, has gone back to paper ballots with counting machines not linked to the internet. In Georgia, they have clarified certification so that questions can be addressed before the process is completed.

Ah the devil is in the details. Did any of these so called non citizens say they were going to vote, or just concerned about the election.
By the was Rasmussen does not get great results for objectivity.

The poll was of likely voters. Do you mean that Rasmussen is not as objective as CNN or MSNBC because they don’t oversample Democrats?

When the former president won the electoral college but lost the popular vote in 2016, he blamed it on non-citizens voting. In 2017 The Brennan Center studied the prevalence on non-citizen voting (which is already illegal in federal elections), and found that illegal votes occured .0001% in the jurisdictions they studied. Not enough to move the results a blip. It was Trump’s plan to claim fraud in any election he lost. The 2020 election was investigated by several entities and no widespread fraud was found, regardless of the documentaries convicted fraudster Dinesh D’Souza has made claiming otherwise.
Trump is now telling his rally-goers that they don’t need to vote. Perhaps he is confident in the number of election deniers that are now set to oversee the election certifications in key states.
If you are concerned with election fraud, you may be barking up the wrong tree

Don’t know which rally you are watching.
