Zu Zazz Is A Go For March’s First Thursday

WATERBURY — The Zu Zazz String Orchestra will entertain at the next First Thursdays event at the Mattatuck Museum, which will take place on Thursday, March 3, from 5:30 to 8 pm.

The Zu Zazz String Orchestra will be fronted by Renee Santhouse on the violin and Dan Santhouse on the guitar as they sing and play jump, old time, cow jazz, Hula blues, and tin pan alley tunes. Joining the Santhouses will be Todd Soughton on mandolin, Bob Nield on eclectic washtub, Jay Louden on the ivories, and George Leskowski on slide guitar. Their selections promise an eclectic arrangement of lively American roots music.

First Thursdays is a monthly after-hours event at the Mattatuck Museum that includes live music, hors d’oeuvres, a wine tasting, and access to the museum’s galleries. Admission is $10.
