Yale Alley Cats To Perform At Trinity

Music at Trinity will sponsor a concert by The Yale Alley Cats at Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street, on Saturday, March 29. Admission will be a freewill offering, and a gala reception will follow the performance.

One of the nation’s most renowned a cappella groups, the Yale Alley Cats have been spreading music around the world since 1943. The group finds its roots in jazz, but its repertoire has grown to include Motown, pop, classical and many more genres. Its diverse song list and musical excellence allows the Alley Cats to perform at a host of different venues, from jazz clubs and embassies to the set of TV’s The West Wing and the main stage at the Dresden Music Festival.

The concert in Newtown will begin at 7:30 pm and will also include a performance by The Trinity Choristers, a group of young voices conducted by Trinity Music Director Fiona Smith Sutherland.

For additional information call Trinity Church at 426-9070.
