William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage, & Insurance welcomed members of the community at its official grand reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony on the evening of Wednesday, July 11.For more information about William Raveis, visit raveis.com.

The business' Newtown office, located at 14 Church Hill Road, began renovations May 28 and completed them approximately six weeks later.

Administrative Manager Amy Dickinson said the entire office received all new furniture, paint, and carpeting, along with the creation of three enclosed office spaces that can accommodate one to two agents in each.

The front office area was also updated with a new desk, adorned with crisp blue lettering that reads, "Welcome To William Raveis."

Office partitions were also removed from the center of the room, Ms Dickinson explained, to encourage a "collaborative and open concept," which is currently being implemented similarly in other William Raveis buildings.

"It's clean, fresh, and cheerful, which is a delight to come in to on a daily basis," Ms Dickinson said in regards to the office's updates.

While at the grand reopening celebration, guests were encouraged to tour the facility and enjoy food by Nouveau Monde Wine Bar & Bistro, drinks by Yankee Spirit, and treats by Crave Custom Cakes and Cookies LLC. Entertainment was courtesy of Continuo Music and the colorful flower arrangements decorating the tables were provided by Newtown Florists.

After the official ribbon cutting took place outside, Newtown Chamber of Commerce Vice President Scott Anders started off the congratulatory speeches with Selectman Maureen Crick Owen, who spoke on behalf of First Selectman Dan Rosenthal while he is in Japan with his family.

"I want to congratulate you on your beautiful offices and the Raveis organization and all the agents," Ms Crick Owen said, adding that she appreciates the company's reinvestment in its offices for the current residents and the new people wanting to move to Newtown.

William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage, & Insurance Sales Manager Paul Spigener also spoke at the grand reopening.

Mr Spigener, who was newly appointed to this position in April, comes to the company with 16 years of experience in the business and says he offers a "support role" to agents so they can reach their full potential in the industry.

He works as a mentor and coach, helping agents with transactional activities, and is involved with company recruiting.

While discussing the renovations and grand opening celebration, he said, "We could not have done this without Bill Raveis' and his vision and culture of camaraderie."

Following his speech, William "Bill" Raveis, chairman and chief executive officer of William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage, & Insurance, told the dozens of people gathered around about the company's local history and the future he hopes for it.

"We started in this town 40 years ago… it's always been a beautiful community," Mr Raveis said.

The Newtown office was one of the first to be established, and currently the company has 130 offices throughout nine states.

"We are very committed to this town and love this town," he added. "I am very grateful for the support from the town."

Mr Raveis attended the event with his two sons, Ryan Raveis, co-president of William Raveis Inc; and Chris Raveis, president of residential sales for William Raveis Real Estate and Affiliates, co-president of William Raveis Inc, and corporate secretary of William Raveis Inc.

He says with such a young team, he would love to be here in Newtown for another 40 years.

Ms Dickinson said also in attendance for the official ribbon cutting were William Raveis CFO Daniel Farr, Executive Mortgage Banker Laurie Berger, as well as many agents, including Connie Widmann, Jackie Himmelfarb, Rob and Deb Lombardo, Linda DeLucia, Angela Belanger, Melissa Vitrella, Nancy Marcucilli, Tricia Farin, Lisa Gallagher, Marcia Izzo, and Laurie Berger of Raveis Mortgage.
