To the Editor:

I'm asking you to be a "Ruby Voter" on August 14 in the Republican Primary and support my wife, Dr Ruby Corby-O'Neill, to become our next congresswoman.

Ruby has been a fighter all her life - for her family, for the truth, and for her Republican principles. I've seen her stand up to liars. I've witnessed her fight against the lies about Republicans. Ruby has integrity and courage. Ruby fought for her children as a single mother and for freedom of speech as a college professor.

Today, she serves as a commissioner on the Connecticut Commission on Equity and Opportunity, after being appointed by Republican House Leader Themis Klarides. As a commissioner, she promotes Republican principles of individual freedom and fiscal responsibility among our state's diverse communities.

I've served as a Republican State Representative for 30 years. I served with most of the people who are members of Connecticut's Congressional delegation. I've seen their weaknesses. I know them.

I know Ruby. I have been married to Ruby for nine years. I've seen her take some of life's hardest hits with unflinching courage. By the dawn's early light, I've seen her make some of life's toughest decisions after a long, heart-breaking night. I've seen her give her time and energy to help others with no expectation of personal reward. I've seen her study problems and gather facts and think long and hard to come to the right and decent decision. When elected to Congress, she will be the smartest, strongest, and sincerest member of the Connecticut delegation.

Ruby's commitment to Republican principles is unwavering. She is dedicated to serving others, whether it's her family, her students, or her fellow citizens.

On August 14, please join me and be a Ruby voter.
