Valley Chordsmen Next In Concert Series

WOODBURY — The next concert of the “Music of North Church,” hosted by North Congregational Church will be on Sunday, March 28, at 3 pm. The featured group is The Valley Chordsmen, a four-part harmony, all male chorus.

The Naugatuck-based quartet is comprised of men who love to sing four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop quartet style.

The group draws its members from throughout the Naugatuck Valley and represents the Waterbury-Derby chapter of The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, a non-profit and educational organization.

Their repertoire ranges from pure barbershop like “My Wild Irish Rose” to such classics as “Are You Lonesome Tonight,” “Georgia,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” and more.

A reception will follow the concert.

Tickets are $5, and will be available at the door.

North Congregational Church is at the intersection of Main Street (Route 6) and Route 47, across from Canfield Corners in Woodbury.

For more information contact the church office at 203-263-2410.
