To the Editor:

After carrying a firearm for more than half my life as a 31-year veteran of law enforcement, I would like to thank the governor for finally giving me the incentive to become a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. The idiotic comments made by the governor, equating the NRA and its law-abiding gun owners interested in preserving their rights under the Second Amendment to terrorists, is a new low even for him.

The real terrorists are Democrat politicians who exploit tragedies for political purposes even before all the facts are known and in many cases, like our two incompetent senators in Washington, before the families have had time to grieve.

So, I will shortly be proudly displaying my NRA sticker and I look forward to be added to the terrorist watch list.
