Terence M. Laverty, 72, of Brookfield, husband of Eunice "Sis" (Schatzle) Laverty, died January 16. He was born in Massapequa, N.Y., on June 4, 1944, a son of the late Marguerite (O'Brien) and Robert Laverty. He attended Long Island schools and graduated from Yankton College in Yankton, S.D.

A retired insurance adjuster, he was co-proprietor along with his wife of Bagel Delight of Newtown.

In addition to his wife, a son, Tim, and his wife, Lynette; a daughter, Kate, and her fiancé, Matthew Gooding; his siblings and their spouses, Thomas Laverty, Margaret Laverty, Elizabeth and Michael Byrne, Monica and Michael Cooney, and Deidre and Robert Lambert; four grandchildren, Brenna, Teagen, Aveleen, and Harper; as well as nieces and nephews survive Mr Laverty.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue; Danbury, on Sunday, January 22, from 2 to 5 pm.
