‘Tenor’ Auditions Scheduled At Theater Barn

RIDGEFIELD — Ridgefield Theater Barn has announced audition dates for the comedy Lend Me A Tenor, written by Ken Ludwig and to be directed by Beth Harding.

Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, January 8, from 1 to 4 pm, and Monday, January 9, from 7 to 9 pm. They will be held at Ridgefield Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane.

Characters include four men and four women ages from 20 to 60. Please note this is a physical show with lots of running, shouting and door-slamming and also includes love scenes. While three of the characters require good singing voices, strong acting ability is more important.

Readings will be from sides. Callbacks TBA.

Rehearsals will be evenings and some weekends from mid-January until opening night. A complete rehearsal breakdown will be provided at the read-through.

Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, February 24 through March 25. There will be one Sunday afternoon matinee, but that date has yet to be decided.

Additional performances may be added and weeknight brush-up rehearsals may be called.
