Teen Summer Craft Programs Offered At Bethel Library

BETHEL — Bethel Public Library will present a series of craft programs this summer for students entering grades 6-12. Most will be held on various Fridays, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

On July 7, a scrapbooking workshop will be offered. Teens will learn the basics of scrapbooking and will complete some album pages.

On July 14, participants will make various mini-books and journals for gifts or to keep.

On July 21, teens will bring in tired old T-shirts, which will be sliced, diced, and made new again.

On August, 11, participants will use duct tape to make a wallet.

In addition to the Friday programs, on Wednesday, August 9, from 6:30 to 7:45 pm, jewelry designer Geralyn Tagatac will lead a workshop in making necklaces with semi-precious stones.

The workshops are free, and all materials are provided; however, registration is required.

Bethel Public Library meets accessibility requirements for the disabled. People who need special accommodations should contact the library in advance to make arrangements.

For more information or to register, contact Amy Schumann at 794-8756, extension 0.
