To the Editor:

The Newtown-Strong Therapy Dogs, a local community group of certified therapy dogs and their handler/owners, are thrilled to once again be among the honored guests of SHOP's Annual Passport To Sandy Hook, now in its seventh year and taking place on October 7 in the Village of Sandy Hook.

It is hard to believe that we, as a group, have been honored guests in SHOP's Passport event since our first year of inception in 2013. We are always so warmly received by both visitors and shopkeepers, and we are especially looking forward to participating in this year's event.

My therapy dogs and I live in Sandy Hook, along with many of my fellow therapy dog members, and we want to invite all of our friends, neighbors, and families, near and far, to join us in our beautiful, quaint village, to thoroughly experience Sandy Hook … come listen to local live music, stroll through our many interesting shops, have a bite to eat, and pet a therapy dog while you're at it!
