Swap Party Planned

Ever had one of those days when you look in your closet and think “I have nothing to wear? … That skirt I bought last year didn’t fit just right … My blue sweater — sick of it.”

And how about those pretty pieces of jewelry that hasn’t been worn in years or possibly never worn? Cabinets and cupboards are full of items just collecting dust. Not wanting to spend money on anything new in this economy, members of Newtown Congregational Church are inviting all women to a Swap Party where clothing, accessories and all sorts of items will be traded among attendees.

The party will be Friday, October 1, at 7 pm, in the church’s Great Room, 14 West Street. All ladies are invited to bring up to five items to be swapped for which one ticket per item will be given to be used to take something new home.

Light refreshments will be served, entertainment provided, a raffle will be held, and a door prize will be awarded.
