Steven John Grosner, 51, of Florida, died July 18, at his parent's home in Summerfield, Fla., after courageously fighting a long battle with chronic pancreatitis. He was born April 8, 1967, in Bridgeport, and grew up in Fairfield and Newtown; he graduated from Newtown High School and attended The John Robert Powers School in Florida.

His parents, Daniel and Julie (Rogg) Grosner; his brother, Michael of Costa Mesa, Calif.; nephew; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his two dogs survive him.

Mr Grosner lived in many towns in Connecticut and eventually settled in Weirsdale, Fla. He worked in retail at Lord & Taylor, Belk's, and The Brook in Westport. He made many lifelong friendships with his caring and outgoing personality and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, at St Theresa's Catholic Church, Route 301, Belleview Fla.

A Memorial Service in Connecticut for Mr Grosner will be scheduled in the Fall for friends and family to honor his life.
