State PTA Awards Dinner Honors Local Schools

At the Connecticut PTA Annual Meeting/Awards dinner on Tuesday, May 3, Middle Gate Elementary School won six awards and Head O' Meadow Elementary School was honored for being named a National PTA School of Excellence for the 2015-17 school years, which was announced in September.announced at the start of April as part of the Connecticut PTA's 2016 Outstanding Administrator of the Year award program.

Superintendent of Schools Joseph V. Erardi, Jr, was also honored for being named the 2016 Outstanding Superintendent by the state PTA, which was

Middle Gate earned awards for having a ten percent increase in its PTA membership, having ten or more outside community members join the PTA, having 100 percent teacher membership, having high standards of excellence for enrichment programs, having high standards of excellence in communications, and having high standards of excellence in membership promotions.
