SOUTHBURY â The Msgr William J. Collins Council No. 5066, Knights of Columbus is now running the sixth tri-annual Corvette raffle. The prize is a 2005 Corvette Coupe.
Tickets are on sale now, and will be available through the October 30 raffle date, or until they are sold out.
The C6 version of the Corvette is new for 2005, only the sixth major redesign since the car was introduced in 1953. In addition to the new body style, the car has a new 6.0L all-aluminum 400 horsepower engine, and âactive handlingâ suspension.
The raffle is limited to 4,000 tickets priced at $20 each. The drawing will be held Saturday, October 30, at 2 pm, at the West Chevrolet showroom, 729 Main Street South, Woodbury. The car will be on display there as soon as it is delivered and it will remain there until the drawing, when it will be presented new to the winner.
Tickets are available in Woodbury at West Chevrolet. In Southbury, tickets are available at Pattyâs Pantry and Peopleâs Choice Mobil, both at I-84 Exit 16, and at the Southford Package Store at the intersection of Routes 67 and 188. In Newtown, tickets are at Newtown Mobil at I-84 Exit 10. Mail order is also available by sending a check and a self-addressed stamped envelope to K of C, PO Box 582, Southbury CT 06488-0582.
