Songs Of Love And Marriage

“Songs of Love and Marriage,” the spring program of Newtown Choral Society, will be presented Saturday, May 31, at 7:30 pm, at The Meeting House, 31 Main Street.

Under the direction of Mary Andreotta, and accompanied by Todd Gorski, the choir will perform Eric Whitcomb’s “A Boy and A Girl” and “This Marriage,” as well as Daniel Pinkham’s Wedding Cantata and Paul Williams’s “An Old Fashioned Love Song” with a special kazoo interlude.

“Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Freddie Mercury, folk songs, and a George and Ira Gershwin medley will complete the program.

Tickets are $9 and $7 for seniors and audience members under age 12, and will be available at the door. For more information, call 426-3769.
