Occupation: I have two jobs. One is in Newtown at the Botsford Drive-In. It's a little hotdog stand that has been around since the 50s. I've been there for about seven years. My other occupation is that I am a road crew member of a radio station in Brookfield. I've been there for two years, and I interned there, too. I was really shy growing up, so working at a radio station was a really weird concept for me; but then as an intern they threw me on the air once and I thought: I could do this. I could see myself having fun at this job everyday. The best part about working there is getting to meet people from all walks of life.

Family: I have an older sister, Amanda. She's 24. She's working toward being a writer right now. My mom, Deborah, and my dad, Chris, are divorced. My dad now lives in Tennessee and my mom lives in Brookfield. She works in a hospital.

How long did you lived in Newtown? I grew up in Newtown for about 17 years, before we moved to New Milford.

Art is my hobby. I paint, draw, doodle, but I don't really have much free time anymore. Being creative is my passion. What do you like to do in your free time?

Do you have a favorite author? I'm a huge book nerd, I love reading. My favorite author is V.C. Andrews. She has so many books out, but she only wrote a handful before she died. Her family took over her writing, which is pretty cool. I like thrillers and mysteries that make you think.

What is your favorite travel destination? I've always wanted to go to Paris. I took French in high school and middle school, and it seems like such a beautiful place. I'd also definitely want to go to Italy. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about the landscapes there. I want to go and see nothing but pretty things.

What is the best part about Newtown? There is something about Newtown that is really different than other towns. We have this connection as a group of people that you can run into someone anywhere else in the world and if they say they're from Newtown, you're suddenly friends. You can't really get that anywhere else. It's just something unique about us.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My grandfather. We called him "The Razz." He's the reason I decided to keep going to school. I don't like schoolwork or being in school, but he told me it was the most important thing to do. I probably wouldn't have graduated high school without him. I didn't want to do it, but he died when I was 15 and I felt like I owed it to him to finish my high school and college degree. He's the reason why I keep fighting for everything I do.

Who is your favorite musical artist? The Entertainer," which was used in the movie a huge hit at the time [1973]. His music has stuck with me.The Sting, I grew up listening to classic rock. Pink Floyd was a huge influence for me. An old favorite is Scott Joplin. He did ragtime piano music. He wrote "

Do you have a favorite TV show? Doctor Who. Sci-Fi is always my go-to. I've always been a huge Star Wars fan, and naturally, Doctor Who fell in line with that. It's got that quirky adventurous spirit that I always wish I had.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? Don't give up. I'm a huge stickler for following through with something that you are doing - whether it be a promise to someone or to going to school - it is so important just to not stop. If you really are passionate about something, there should never be a reason to stop. What is your guilty pleasure?Spaceballs on reruns. I could watch it all day. Watching
