Occupation: I love my profession. I am a realtor and work with my husband, Bobby, at the Gleason Group Real Estate LLC. I have been a realtor officially for 23 years, and I am very proud of it. I love helping people.

Family: My daughter Isabel, I call her "Bella," she went to American University in D.C. Now she lives in Hoboken and is doing digital media advertising. She loves being in the city. My son Tommy is a junior at the University of Alabama. We are sports fans and Alabama won the football national championship, so we go down there for the games. I went to the University of Connecticut and met my husband, Bobby, there. After I came back from a semester abroad he was friends with a lot of my friends, and we met at a party. We still have that same circle of friends from UConn. We just had our 28th anniversary and celebrated in York Harbor, Maine, where we were married. My parents; my sister Patice and her partner, Katrina; my sister Beth; and my niece Peyton were there with us.

Pets: We have our dogs, Tony and Aggie. Aggie is a 12-year-old Shih Tzu, and Tony is a 4-year-old Shorkie - a Shih Tzu and a Yorkie.

How long have you lived in Newtown? Since 1989. It's Bob's hometown. We had lived in Stamford before, and way back when we had gone out with friends of ours on the lake [in Newtown] and there just seemed to be so much more to do here.

What do you like to do in your free time? Play tennis. I play a lot - any chance I get, any court I can find, with anyone that will play. I am a better tennis player than a gardener, but I like to have my garden flowers. I like to read, too.

What are your favorite books? I like Colony by Anne Rivers Siddons and Cider House Rules by John Irving. I also enjoy Maeve Binchy and Anita Shreve. They all have a little bit of Maine in their stories.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? I loved Barcelona, being by the beach. It was very relaxing. I love Provincetown, Mass. We like the car ride and the destination of the beach. Bob likes swimming, and I like watching. I like collecting shells and long bike rides.

What is the best thing about Newtown? I have some "old shoe" friends here. We can just get together at the drop of a hat.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My best friend's mom, Eileen Ragnoni. I call her "Hen." She is 84. She is a great role model and always has been. I have known her for a long time, since 1980. I watch her and how she treats people - she fills the cup up with love. She has made a lot of people happy.

If you could spend the day with anyone, who would you choose? Bob. He's my best friend. We would just enjoy each other's company.

What is your favorite television show?Big Bang Theory, hands down. I love Leonard's mom and Sheldon.

Pam Gleason is this week's Snapshot profile.

What is your favorite music? I like Madonna, Florence and the Machine, and Milky Chance. Also, I just went to my second Justin Bieber concert with Bella.
