To the Editor:

My message today comes as a neighbor and friend, not as a member of the Legislative Council and Chair of its Finance Committee.   While the words of eminent philosophers always abound, here’s a paraphrase of the one they call Eminem.  It’s about the funding referendum scheduled for this Saturday, October 5, at the Middle School.

Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity

Don’t get distracted wow

Saturday’s comin’, it’ll soon be here

You can find the Middle School so you won’t shed a tear

And vote for the gift that coming our way

If I can only get there and vote to say, yay

You can do anything you set your mind to, Newtown.

Vote the way you want but, please join me in voting.  I’ll be voting either aye, yes, in the affirmative, or all of the above.
