SCAN Spring Show Is Approaching
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN), Inc. will present its 33rd Annual Juried Spring Art Show at Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown, during library hours May 3-11.
The show will include more than 150 works of art in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, graphics, printmaking, and sculpture. Â Many prize-winning artists from both the local area and adjacent states will be represented. Virginia Zic is this yearâs show chairman.
A reception and award ceremony will be held Saturday, May 3, from 2 to 4 pm, and all are welcome to attend. Â There is no admission charge for the reception or show.
The show will be open Saturdays, May 3 and 10, from 10 am to 5 pm; Sunday, May 4, from 1 to 5 pm; Monday through Thursday, May 5-8, from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday, May 8, noon until 5 pm; and Sunday, May 11, 1 to 3:30 only.
