Sandy Hook 5K Registration Closed; Virtual Runners Accepted; Packet Pickup On March 31

The Sandy Hook 5K will take place on the campus of Fairfield Hills on Saturday, April 1. The Kids Fun Runs (beginning at 9 am) and registration for the on-site 5K (starting at 9:45 am) are closed, but there are openings for virtual runners and volunteers. Packet pickup is Friday, March 31, from 5 to 8:30 pm at Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane.

All Star Transportation will provide bus shuttles from Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook, to the race. The first bus leaves the high school at 7:15 am with shuttles available until last run back at 12:30 pm. Parking available at Fairfield Hills only for those with a handicapped sticker, if you have a stroller, or for volunteers in the area reserved at Reed School and the Second Company Governor's Horse Guard spots.

The Newtown Memorial Fund serves as the fiduciary to collect and process donations. Proceeds go to the Collaborative Recovery Fund.
