Rosa Timm

Rosa von Lima Aigner Timm, 92, of Bethel, died August 2, on the Feast of Our Lady of the Angels. She was born August 7, 1925, in Germany and came to America at the age of 15. She was the widow of Fredrick C. Timm.

Her loving and devoted daughter, Therese M. Slesinsky and her husband, Benjamin, of Bethel; two sons, Lawrence F. Timm and his wife, Jenefer, of Waterford, Maine, and Allen J. Timm of Greenwood City, Maine; grandchildren, Terra Edwards of Newtown, Aaron Timm, Alicia Sadler, and Page Marie Timm, all of Norway, Maine, and Matthew Timm of Danbury; five great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Donna and Diane; two first cousins; and many dear friends survive her.

In addition to her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, her two fine sons, Ronald and Robert Timm; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Johnathen Timm, predeceased her.

She was married to Fredrick in 1944, and they moved from the Bronx to Bethel, where they built their own home and raised five children, three of whom lived in a big old army tent until the house was completed. She volunteered for several charitable groups, including the American Indians. Mrs Timm was an active parishioner of St Mary Church in Bethel and loved the Blessed Mother and the Rosary to no end.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Regional Hospice and Palliative Care in Danbury for the care they gave Mrs Timm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 7, at 11 am, in St Mary Church, 26 Dodgingtown Road, Bethel. Burial will follow in St Mary Cemetery, Bethel. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810.
