Residents Sought For Commission Posts

First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking residents to fill several opening on local appointed boards and commissions. In some cases the appointments are required to be affiliated with a specific political party, while in other cases unaffiliated voters are encouraged to consider serving.

Current openings exist on:

*The Conservation Commission has three positions available to a Republican or Unaffiliated voter and one open position  available to a democrat or unaffiliated voter.

*The Hattertown Historic District has an alternate position available to a Democrat or Unaffiliated voter

*The Inland Wetlands Commission has two vacant positions available to either a Republican or unaffiliated voter.

*Board of Ethics has a vacant position available to a republican or unaffiliated voter.  There is also a vacant position for a Democrat or Unaffiliated voter, the last day to express interest is January 30 with an anticipated appointment date of February 2.

*Commission on Aging has an alternate position available to a democrat or unaffiliated voter.

*Also, the Design Advisory Board has one alternate positions available to any registered voter (but no more than one of the same party)
