The Western Connecticut Council of Governments (WestCOG) is seeking public comment on the draft five-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The CEDS outlines economic development strategies to enhance the economy of the Western Region of Connecticut, encompassing the municipalities of Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Sherman, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton.westcog.org. A thirty (30) day public review comment period of this draft document is required prior to adoption and submittal of this report to the United States Economic Development Administration. This public review comment period commenced on Monday, August 21, and will end Wednesday, September 20.
