Recovery Sunday Planned At Trinity

Trinity Episcopal Church will celebrate Recovery Sunday on January 30 during all three of its regular services (7:30, 8:45 and 11:15 am).

All are invited to join Trinity members for services to be led by guest preacher Paul Gossling, himself in recovery for 21 years, an AA member and member of the Board for Hazelden Foundation Treatment Hospital in Minnesota.

The Episcopal Church in general and Trinity Church in particular consider 12-step groups as extensions of their ministry. Trinity offers its church to those in search of good news, who are looking for the healing power of a Higher Power’s unconditional love.

The disease of addiction and chemical dependency is a family affair, and is no less devastating and debilitating than other diseases. But recovery can be one of life’s greatest blessings. Addictions come in many faces: drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, food, tobacco, pornography.

The services at Trinity on Sunday, January 30, will celebrate with those who have the courage to change.

Trinity Church, at 36 Main Street, can be reached for additional information by calling 203-426-9070.
