She retired after 25 years of employment. In recent years, she was employed at Stop & Shop Super Market of Southbury.

She enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, gardening, and her pets. She enjoyed the time spent with her family, and most especially her grandchildren, and regarded every one as being first and foremost. She will be sorely missed by those who knew her.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Todd E. and Sara Palmer of New Fairfield, Holly M. and Ernest Racenet of Merton, Wisc., and Jennifer DeMartino and Jason Mucci of Woodbury; four brothers and wives, Jody A. and Donna Palmer, CT, Timothy J. and Pamela Palmer, Emory III and Patricia Palmer, and Terry Palmer; two sisters, Robin L. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Ashley Phillips, RN, niece and cousin, for her compassion, care, and guidance during this difficult time in their lives.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 30, at 2 pm, in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury. The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home Saturday, after 12 noon.
