Pamela J. "Pam" (Huebner) Mitchell, 72, of Brookfield, died peacefully in her home on July 23, surrounded by family. She was born to the late Ruth and Frank Huebner on July 13, 1945.

Her daughter, Audrey Mockovak of Newtown; her son, Daryl Stevens of Wingdale, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Crystal Stevens, Eric Mockovak, and Kyle Mockovak; cousins; former husband, Bones Stevens; as well as her son-in-Law, Mark Mockovak, survive her.

Her devoted husband, Norbert E. Mitchell, Jr, predeceased her.

After graduating from Henry Abbott Tech for nursing she began a 20 year-career as a licensed practical nurse while working at the Glen Hill Convalescent Center. She retired as facilities director at The Gardens Assisted Living Center in 1999.

She loved the company of her faithful dog, Maggie, who was never ever out of sight, as well as her loving grandchildren, her devoted children, and extended family, whom she welcomed into her home at any time.

Calling hours will be at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Wednesday, July 26, from 4 to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be at Green Funeral Home on Thursday, July 27, at 10 am. Entombment will immediately follow at Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
