Town Players of Newtown will present the comedy Off Off Off Broadway, by Connecticut playwright Shelley Abrams, beginning Friday, September 15, at The Little Theatre.

The story centers around an actor-director who leaves the fast-paced life of Broadway for a more tranquil existence on an island off Cape Cod. He is quickly followed by two actresses, an agent, a PR person, and a producer, all who try to entice him - and his work - back to New York.

Playwright Abrams of Bethlehem will also direct. Off Off Off Broadway features the talents of Brianna Bowman of Bethel, Christopher Cooney of Monroe, Jared Emanuel of Bethel, Bob Hoffmann of New Fairfield, Joe Koproski of Redding, Kimberly Marcus of Danbury, and Danette Riso of Redding.

The show runs Friday, September 15, through Saturday, October 7. Curtain times are 8 pm, Fridays and Saturdays; 2 pm matinees on Sunday, September 24 and October 1; and a performance on Thursday, October 5, at 8 pm. Tickets are $22; $18 for matinee performances.

Reservations may be made by visiting newtownplayers.org, or by calling the box office at 203-270-9144.

Town Players of Newtown is a community theater, currently in its 82nd season. The Little Theatre is at 18 Orchard Hill Road, off South Main Street (one mile north of Sand Hill Plaza).
