ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A New York State Museum exhibit of personal stories, films and artifacts from the September 11 terrorism attacks is slated to open in France June 6. Museum officials say the presentation, titled “A Global Moment,” at the Le Caen Memorial in Caen is designed to educate visitors about the attacks and the victims while providing an opportunity to share their thoughts.

Artifacts never before seen in public will be among more than 100 items drawn from the museum’s collection. Displays will include the wreckage of a rescue vehicle, pieces of an Alexander Calder sculpture, memorial fences and posters of the missing.

Films and other presentations will chronicle life at the World Trade Center before the attacks, the aftermath and subsequent rebuilding.
