NJWC To Host Alex The Jester

The Newtown Junior Women’s Club will be hosting “The Foolishly Fun Family Show,” featuring entertainer Alex the Jester, on Sunday, February 6, at Edmond Town Hall. Performances will be at 1 and 3 pm.

Alex the Jester’s offbeat repertoire includes Renaissance water spouting, the nose flute serenade, jingle bell juggling, twisted sticks of the forest, balancing stunts high above the audience, and other unusual routines inspired by the rich tradition of foolery.

A real jester is a poet in motion, using a dancer’s grace, an acrobat’s bravado, and a comedian’s mastery of the funny bone. Alex has been featured at The Just for Laughs International Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada, as well as various comedy festivals around the globe, including Australia, Belgium, Bermuda, France, Japan, Singapore, and New Zealand.

Tickets are $5 and available for purchase at C.H. Booth Library, Edmond Town Hall’s box office, Newtown Savings Bank in Sand Hill Plaza, and People’s Bank on Queen Street. Tickets can also be purchased through Suzanne Fabrizio at 270-6258.

Tickets will also be sold on the day of the show, if not already sold out.
