NHS Athletics, Recruiting Agency Form Partnership

Newtown High School athletes who are trying to get noticed — and eventually get recruited — by coaches in collegiate athletic programs are having their chances bolstered thanks to a partnership between the school and College Showcases America’s (CSA) NoticeME! program.

The Cheshire-based CSA’s NoticeME! program is designed to help student-athletes with their college selection process from day one, all the while assisting high school athletic departments. A portion of the funds generated through the high school athlete’s cost to join go back into his or her high school’s athletic department to offset expenses.

The cost to the athlete/his or her parent is $9.95 a month. The athletic department will receive 30 percent of this to reinvest into the athletic program.

All student-athletes who register receive a fitness report, high school coach evaluation, college coach evaluation, academic profile, athletic profile, athletic progress reports, practice schedules, team schedules, and training program schedule.

Additionally, a “best-fit” college progress report combines academic and athletic profiles and data along with student-athlete’s goals, and develops a “moving-target” list of schools from his or her freshman year until the time a choice of school is made.

Student-athletes will also receive answers to recruiting questions from NoticeMe! staff members, a monthly newsletter with helpful hints about the college recruiting process from CSA, and a one-on-one meeting with a college consultant to help with the college interview process upon registering.

To register, go to www.collegeshowcasesamerica.com/noticeme.html.
