Next Free Movie Night At ETH Will Feature 'Ghostbusters' Reboot

The next free movie at Edmond Town Hall to be sponsored by Ingersoll Auto of Danbury will be the 7 pm screening of Ghostbusters on Saturday, September 10.Ghostbusters franchise was released in July. Based on the 1984 film written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, the new chapter - fully titled Ghostbusters: Answer The Call - is an update with four women starting a ghost-catching business in New York City.Ghostbusters cast members.Ghostbusters is rated PG-13, and has a running time of 1 hour, 56 minutes.

The auto dealer and service center, owned by Todd Ingersoll of Newtown, has been offering at least one free screening each month in the town's movie theater since January 2013. The offer is first come, first served. Edmond Town Hall is at 45 Main Street.

In this chapter, paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and physicist Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, the two turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out.

Evening screenings will be Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9:10 pm, then Sunday through Thursday at 7 pm.

Matinees are planning for Saturday and Sunday at 1 and 4, and Tuesday at 1 pm.

Regular admission is $2 per person.

Ghostbusters: Answer The Call will be at Edmond Town Hall September 9-15. Moviegoers can enjoy a free screening of the 2016 reboot on Saturday, September 10.
