New Year’s Day Party For Singles In Newtown

Connecticut ConTacts, one of the state’s leading singles organizations, is sponsoring a New Year’s Day dance party for singles on Saturday, January 1, from 8 pm to 1 am, at the Fireside Inn, 123 South Main Street (Route 25) in Newtown.

Located two miles south of Newtown’s famous flagpole, the Fireside boasts a gigantic ballroom with a dance floor.

Admission is $15 and includes a dinner buffet from 8 to 9:30 pm, as well as coffee and dessert at midnight.

Dancing will be to a mix of DJ’s selections including Top 40, soft rock, recent oldies and requests.

Patrons are urged to relax and unwind after the big night of New Year’s Eve. Jeans and casual attire, which are usually not allowed for CT ConTacts parties, will be permitted for this event.

“The Fireside continues to be our most popular dance location,” says ConTacts president Tina Auclair. “We regularly attract over 400 singles there.”

ConTacts sponsors dance parties for singles in eight other locations across Connecticut. Its 14th annual New Year’s Eve party, in fact, will once again be presented at The Colonial Tavern in Oxford.
