NATHAN HALE HOMESTEAD WILL OFFER COLONIAL ENCAMPMENT JULY 28–29

COVENTRY, CONN. — The Antiquarian & Landmarks Society will host a colonial encampment at its historic house museum, the Nathan Hale Homestead at 2299 South Street on Saturday and Sunday, July 28–29, from 11 am to 4 pm.

Attendees can interact with colonial reenactors and learn about soldiers’ experiences during the Revolutionary War. Battles will be held at 11 am and 3 pm with a special twilight battle on Saturday evening. Reenactors will demonstrate drilling, camp cooking and music. The house will be open for tours and there will be a variety of crafts and activities for children. Refreshments will be available for sale. Admission is $5 for adults and children are free.
