To the Editor:

The Newtown Education Foundation would like to say thank you to all those who came out for a great night on January 21 for our Evening of Comedy. We had hoped to create an event where friends could come together and enjoy a night out, all the while raising money in support of our mission to enhance the learning experience of our students by promoting innovation and creativity through collaboration with the community and the Newtown Public Schools. Mission Accomplished!

From the moment we stepped into the Dana-Holcombe House until we walked out of Edmond Town Hall spirits were high, smiles were wide, and cheeks were sore from laughter. We would like to extend a huge thank you to John and Jane Vouros for opening their home for the VIP party. It was perfect. Thank you to all of our event sponsors, the Newtown High School Culinary Department for desserts, Chef Plum for the food at the VIP party, and Sherry Chapman of Chapman Creative for her design work.

All three comedians kept the audience laughing and smiling. Thank you, Chris Moretti, for stepping out of your role as principal and back into your comedic days. Tony Liberti and RC Smith, thank you for coming to Newtown and keeping us laughing.

We can't wait for next year's show.

Thank you for your support.
