Meeting The Pumpkin Challenge

To the Editor:

I am thrilled to report that The Great Pumpkin Challenge was again a huge success.  Storm Sandy was not able to take away our enthusiasm or pumpkins!

I would like to thank Castle Hill Farm, Mason’s Farm Market, Ropes Baseball Apparel, The Newtown Bee, the Newtown town departments, and the Newtown Lions Club. I also want to thank all the people that carved pumpkins, or bought a virtual pumpkin, or donated along the way.

We received 92 pumpkins and raised almost $3,500, with half going to Zoe’s fund, and half going to The Hole in The Wall Gang Camp. Way to go Newtown!  The Great Pumpkin Challenge would not have been a success without you all!
